Our Story. Well, we've been doing this since 1991.
Yes, 1991. Almost 30 years ago now,
two individuals came together to start an Advertising and Marketing Services Agency called Mortimer Harvey.
From the very start our founders, Dave Mortimer and Gerald Harvey, had the vision to build a business which core focus was, and still is, creating lasting connections, building affinity and truly delivering results for our clients, their brands and ultimately creating lasting value to the end consumer.

Dave's dad Roy was the founder of an ad agency in Cape Town, and that very agency eventually morphed into Mortimer Harvey in 1991 when they teamed up with Gerald.
Dave Mortimer. Essentially a "one liner" stand-up comedian that ended up the CEO of an ad agency. This hasn't stopped Dave from cracking a joke at every and any opportunity that presents itself though.
Dave Mortimer. Exceptional business man, magnificent father to his boys, Dylan and Bryce, and flag bearer for entrepreneurial endeavour, unwavering business ethics and meticulous conduct.
Gerald Harvey 1954-2021
CCO & Founder
Gerald Harvey, co-founder, mentor, guide, confidante, committed visionary, passionate creative, thoughtful and considered leader. Affectionately known as Papa G by everyone.
It was with the heaviest of hearts that felt the loss of our Papa G, who fought valiantly and with a bravery and courage that echoes the life he lived and the many lives he touched. The lessons he taught and the generosity he showed to so many will forever be remembered and treasured. Heaven is a far richer place with you there. R.I.P Papa G.

Creative businesses even more so. But it takes more than the legacy of where we've come from, it takes more than the custodianship of today, and it takes more still, to carry MH into the future. Luckily at MH we've been blessed with people that embody this "more".
We call it HEART + SMART.
And, we believe it's what sets this place apart.
We believe HEART + SMART is what attracts
a certain individual to this place.
Mortimer Harvey may be The House of ResonanceTM but, that's only possible because of the HEART that everyone comes to work with... engages one another with... treats our clients with... cares for their brands with... puts every ounce of themselves into the task at hand with.
HEART being nothing without SMART. Smarter ways to do the work, Smarter ways to save our clients time and money, Smarter ways to spend our waking moments becoming better at what we do...
